General
We try to ship the same day we receive your order--though some
orders received late in the day may go out the following day.
Within US
We ship first class mail or priority mail within the U.S. and include delivery
confirmation. If you want insurance, that is an extra charge --Please email us to get the additional charge.
After shipping hundreds of packages, we have had no significant
problems. No packages have been lost and all seem to reach
their destination in a timely manner.
International
For international
orders, we normally ship air parcel post. Again, we have had
hardly any problems. Most packages arrive in about 10 days to
2 weeks. After shipping to most parts of the world, we have
not had one package lost.
Insurance is available, but isn't all that practical as we must file
the claim and only after 45 days have passed. One drawback to
air parcel post is that there is no tracking number and it doesn't
get high priority when passing through customs.
Global express and
Guaranteed global express are also options: Guaranteed global
express is extremely expensive, but is guaranteed to arrive very
quickly. Global express is much less expensive and should
arrive in about 5 or 6 days depending on the destination.
In both cases, there is a tracking number. The larger the
package, the smaller the cost difference between air parcel post and
global express. For a 4 lb package, global express is about
50% higher than air parcel post, but for a 20 lb package, it is only
about 10% higher. If you need something and want some
assurance that it is probably going to arrive quickly, global
express is probably a good option. If this is what you want,
be sure to ask us to quote you this price.
Update: October 12
We have just had 2 packages which
took an extreme amount of time to get through Canadian customs and
another which was returned to us after two months from Italy.
These were larger packages -- greater than 10 lbs. We do not
know what the problems were with Canada customs and still don't know
about Italy. All 3 packages were sent air parcel post.
With Canada, they may have just been busy -- the packages took over
a month to reach their destinations. Since then, we have sent
some packages via global express and they went right through.
With Italy, we have no idea what the problem is. Again, no
package was lost, it just took a long time to reach the destination.
So, if you need your order quickly, it might be wise to use global
express.
Combined Shipping Costs
When you buy multiple items, we will combine them in one package to
reduce shipping costs for you.
As the shopping cart cannot calculate what the
combined shipping cost will be, there are two (2) ways to do this:
- Order all items and pay the total
shipping cost shown. Once we have made a shipping label
through PayPal, we will issue you a refund. Due to the way
PayPal works, we cannot issue a refund until we have printed the
shipping label.
- You can send us an email
Sally@AccessoriesForFragrances.com with a list of the items
and quantities you want. We will then send you a PayPal
money request for the total amount with combined shipping.
This is the method that most of our regular customers use.
When you use this method, please include the following in your
email: 1) The item(s) description 2) The quantities 3) The
item number. If there are any items which might be listed
in our eBay store, but not in the catalog, you can also include
them.
